Acumen Fund

I have been reading the Acumen Fund blog for a while now. I first heard of Acumen Fund and their work from Seth Godin. After following their work for a couple of months now I have come to realize that they are truly one of the great non-profits in the world. It’s amazing what they have been doing in Africa and around the world. They are working from the ground up. They are finding the ‘source’ of the problem, instead of looking to fix the ‘symptom.’ They are finding ways to help make change that is sustainable, such as providing small loans for local residents to start businesses, investing in companies that find ways to build necessary items for cheaper, and lots of other ways to make a positive and sustainable difference in the world.
