Great article - clear and straight-forward. I would like to expand a bit on #6 with one of my tips: Reduce ‘separation anxiety’ by reframing it as an ‘informative conversation’ within a group, as opposed to a 'big speech'. That's when I use the phrase "Talk to them, not at them."

Very true.

One habit I have at the beginning of my talks is to start out by saying, "Hello, My name is Christopher. . ." This helps to put me at easy and helps me to feel that my talk is more of a conversation between the participants and I.

I short out Most of conversations in five to ten minutes, but they were in discussions which I needed to prepare the message and transmits it to the public.
