While working on some content for an ebook I’m writing, I came up with this passage about confidence and thought it might be relevant to leaders.
Here it is:
An average leader has confidence in himself,
A good leader inspires people to have confidence in their leader,
A great leader inspires people to have confidence in themselves.
Great leaders are able to see their own potential, see the potential of others, and they are able to draw that potential out of them.
As a leader it’s not enough to just have confidence in yourself, it’s not enough to inspire your people to have confidence in you as their leader, but you’ve got to be able to inspire your people to have confidence in themselves.

"A good leader inspires people to have confidence in their leader,
A great leader inspires people to have confidence in themselves."
This quote is attributed to a range of people, from Lao Tzu to Eleanor Roosevelt. Please don't claim it as your own.
Simple Google search will explain.

Hi Mr. Rothenberg:
Thanks for your comment.
That statement was something I wrote out and refined several times in my quiet time at home, away from any quotes, books, or Google.
Please don't accuse me of plagiarism when that is not the case.

Mr. Scott is talking about good, average, and great leadership. I see his statements happening in a logical, thought-out sequence, having nothing to do whatsoever with Eleanor Roosevelt or Lao Tzu. Just because more than one writer comes up with a similar, or even the same statement does not mean copying has occurred.
