The Power of TEAM
A couple of weeks ago I made a post describing how I would be working with a small team of business leaders to organize our Maximum Impact event. There is a total of five of us who are organizing the event, and I was very picky about who I wanted to be on my team.
When selecting the team I had to take a step back and see what areas that I was weak in, and how I could surround myself with people who could complement those weaknesses.
After some thought I had chosen my dream team, a team of people who I was very confident in to make the event a success. After I knew who my dream team was, I had to win them to my cause. At that point I took the time to speak with them all individually, and let them know I thought they would be a great asset to our team by helping to make our event successful.
The truth of the matter is that these people have done so much more and sold so many more tickets than I ever would have done on my own. This is truly the power of team.
There are always people who have more ability and potential in areas than you, and as leaders it’s our obligation and responsibility to seek them out and add them to our team.
I’ve always enjoyed this acronym in several books that I’ve read:
Together
Everyone
Accomplishes
More
